Experienced Sales Consultant – Chery

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Sales Consultant to join our growing Chery team at Thames Motor Group.

Thames Motor Group is a family-run automotive business with dealerships in Slough and Tunbridge Wells, representing leading brands including Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Fiat Professional, Leapmotor, Nissan, OMODA, JAECOO and Chery.

Chery is one of the world's leading automotive manufacturers and is rapidly establishing itself in the UK market, making this an exciting time to join the brand.

As a Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in introducing customers to Chery's growing range of vehicles, delivering an exceptional experience and achieving and exceeding your sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customers throughout the complete sales journey, from initial enquiry through to vehicle handover
• Build strong relationships and understand customers' individual requirements
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales and performance targets
• Proactively follow up leads and maximise every sales opportunity
• Confidently present Chery vehicles, features, specifications and finance options
• Deliver engaging vehicle demonstrations and test drives
• Maintain excellent standards of customer satisfaction and follow-up
• Represent the Chery brand professionally at all times
• Work collaboratively as part of a successful sales team

About You

We are looking for an experienced salesperson who is confident, commercially minded and passionate about delivering great customer experiences.

You will ideally have:

• At least 18 months' direct sales experience, preferably within the automotive industry
• A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• A confident and professional approach
• Strong customer relationship-building skills
• A self-motivated and results-driven attitude
• The ambition and determination to succeed in a competitive market
• A full, clean UK driving licence held for at least one year

Direct sales experience is essential. This means experience of selling a product or service directly to customers, such as cars, mobile phones, property, retail products or similar.
