Apprentice Parts Advisor

Thames Motor Group is a family run business that has been established for over 40 years. It continues to be a very successful dealer group with site in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and Slough, Berkshire.
The role is at our multi-franchise flagship site in Tunbridge Wells, where as a main dealer we represent Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo & Jeep. Which are truly fantastic brands!
We are looking for a committed person to join our team as an apprentice; someone who is keen for a career within the motor trade.
You will learn how to be responsible for controlling the order, receipt storage and issue of parts to service / sales department staff, retail and trade customers. You will also be responsible for dealing with incoming telephone queries and orders in a polite and professional manner.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- To advise customers of the cost of parts and make them aware of any additional products or services available to them
- To control the secure issue of parts to customers and ensure the accurate recording of issued items
- To handle customer enquires in a swift, courteous and efficient manner.
- To initiate Parts documentation, update records and systems.
- Record customer details accurately and in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation
- To ensure the parts storage area is kept clean, tidy and safe to work in
- To ensure that Parts on receipt are inspected for damage and that the quantities received match quantity advised on delivery notes, then placed into stock locations
- To maintain high level of customer satisfaction, in particular paying attention to manufacturers guidelines and Group CSI
- To observe all health and safety regulations and COSHH regulations at all times. As well as Company agreed policies in line with code of practice
This is a very hands-on role and the person chosen to join our team will:

- Be committed to undertake training and assessment on an NVQ or manufacturers training course. The course duration is 15 months with Stellantis
